Elisif Norrman is a rare flower from the deep old Swedish woods. Among lupines and mountain lakes, the singer/songwriter now releases her first music video to accompany her song ”Feathers”.
The video is directed by Elisif herself, and filmed nearby her old family house up in the north.
Since she is an ethereal and sensible being, hard to pin down in genres and labels, you’ll have to rest with this explanation of the content:
”I am a creature of the forest, I am a daughter of the waters. I am as strong as the mountains. I am solid as a rock and light as a feather. My inner being is guiding me. I am never alone.”
Her debut EP will be released during springtime next year when the water breaks free from ice and mist rises from the meadows. The song "Feathers" is released by the indie label El Sol y la Luna music, started by the Argentinian artist, musician and producer Natalie ”Katten” Knutzen. The label's main focus is folk- and world music with pop-melodies.
Elisif’s music is inspired by Swedish folk music, but also by genres like dub, reggae, jazz and music from the 60’s and 70’s. Mariam the Believer, Ane Brun, Mari Boine and Nina Simone are some of her musical references.
