Vividree is an unconventional rapper, part of a generation of more socially aware hip hop artists alá J Cole or Kendrick Lamar. His music has always proudly stood outside the norms of his genre, and shuns the bravado and materialism of many of his contemporaries. He has delivered his signature flow on topics ranging from personal issues on “For the Rain” to street knowledge on "I Don't Give 2's". His work is heavily informed by his own experiences, and aims to help end stigmas around certain topics.
The South London based rapper was born in Congo-Brazzaville before moving to Kennington at 7-years old. Music has always been in the blood of Vividree's family with his father being an Afrobeats artist. This creative upbringing has had an influence on the experimental approach that the artist brings with his music.
The musician has recently made a name for himself on a local scale and is now looking to spread his mission further by working with other like-minded artists around the globe. In an age of social change, Vividree has shared that his mission is to "Inspire others to get up and do what they love and be themselves."
This message is transparent in Vividree's actions as he sets out to release a new single every two weeks as part of his "Get It Done" motive. The first single, "STUNT TWO", is a fiery track that unapologetically exemplifies Vividree's no holds barred attitude.
"I've chosen this single first because the track has good energy and I really like the bounce in the production. I want to start the year on a high and this track does that for me while telling you a little bit about where I come from and who I am."
2018 is set to be a massive year for hip hop and Vividree is making sure that the world knows that he is a major player to be reckoned with. Stunt Two will be available on Spotify on January 8 as Vividree prepares his follow up later in the month.
